At Scherpenhuizen, sustainable entrepreneurship is not a standalone goal; it’s simply the way we operate. We’ve been doing this since our founding in 1973, driven by intrinsic motivation. We aim to make our company a little better every day, with the intention of leaving the world in a better state for the future.

In 2023, our sustainability efforts earned us the silver Ecovadis recognition. At the reassessment in 2025, this even became gold! Something to take pride in and to keep us focused on continuous improvement.

We operate based on our four sustainability pillars, with objectives linked to the ESG criteria (Environment, Social, Governance), and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
